Better or Bitter?

Spread the love

Hi Everyone! Crystal Webster with Sharing Solace here. So recently I got back into the networking game. All business aside, I love to network. It’s a great way to meet new people and kind of see how they tick. This particular meeting I’d never been to before and I knew basically no one there. As these things go everyone gets the opportunity to kind of explain who they are and what they do and I got to tell a little bit about the Sharing Solace mission.

After the meeting, this very nice lady came up to me with tears in her eyes. She said she had recently seen the Sharing Solace video announcement on Facebook and it really helped to put her life into perspective. You see, she has a daughter with special needs and as you can assume sometimes that gets her down a little bit. I didn’t know what to say so I just gave her a big hug.

For the next couple of days I could not get this lady’s story out of my head and I couldn’t figure out why! So I decided to go back to my journals. I went back to the journal from 2010, around the time of Madelyn – for the silver lining list. It was a list of all the things that my Madelyn never HAD to experience. And right there I have written “Madelyn will never experience suffering. Both physically or emotionally”.

I bring this up because much like these two stories are two sides of a coin your situation that you’re put into has two outcome. You can either {because of your situation} choose to be bitter or choose to be better. I want to challenge you to have your perspective be that it makes you better. That you become a better person no matter what you go through.

Until next time friends get grateful.
