I’ve attended, and even spoke at, many a conference in my day. To say that getting the opportunity to speak at the First Annual Oklahoma Funeral Director Association Professional Women’s Conference is a privilege is a wild understatement!
The women in this room, from all over the state, took 3 days out of their very busy schedule to commune and learn from each other. A more passionate, and compassionate, group cannot be found – I guarantee it.
The tides are shifting and the future of funeral service is bright thanks to these lovely ladies. I know, for a fact, that I needed to be in that room – not only for myself but for others who ‘needed’ to see where I stand today [when 14 years ago my life was shattered]. I know I was able to do a bit of encouraging with my time in the front of the room – and also I was encouraged myself by the strength and resilience in the room beside me.
