American Cemetery & Cremation – October 2024

It’s not everyday that you get to see your daughter’s name and picture ‘ in the glossy’…it’s evenĀ less likely when that daughter is dead.

But {because you know me} it hasn’t stopped me from trying! And, it finally happened!

A HUGE thank you to American Cemetery and Cremation and KP Publications for not only allowing me to share my Madelyn – but also for allowing such a difficult topic {even for death care professionals} to be discussed so prominently on the national stage!

This is definitely a discussion that no one wants to have – unless you’ve experienced these circumstances yourself…and even then you might not really want to talk about it. But, by NOT knowing how to have these conversations loss parents are setting themselves up for a life of guilt and remorse. As professionals it is our jobs to do our best to not allow that to happen.

While this is written with professionals in mind I can’t help but share the full article here for you! There are valuable ideas included about meaningful object you can include with baby [even if there is some jargon thrown in].

I don’t ever wish any parent to have to bury their own baby, and if you ever do – I truly hope you can always ‘Remember. You’re not alone.’
